KALASH PHOOL FESTIVAL

The Phool / Autumn Festival of Kalash, an annual colorful twoday festival is only celebrated in Birir Valley from 8th ndash; 15th October with high spirit and zeal. The exact dates depend on the time of harvest of the crops and the return of the livestock from the summer pastures. The festival marks the reaping of grapes amp; walnuts harvests. Grape being a staple requirement in the Kalash society for making wine are grown on trees in protected sites. The holy tree is they are picked throughout the valley on a particular day and is an occasion for joy and merrymaking. The people sing songs in the local language and perform traditional dances throughout the twoday festival.

Day 01 Islamabad ndash; Dir ndash; Chitral (430 kms/1112hrs)
bull; We will make an early departure from a designated spot in Islamabad for Dir at the foot of Lowari P, preferably we drive through Swat Express Way (Motorway).
bull; Winding over the Lowari Mountain is an interesting and rewarding experience.
bull; Lowari tunnel is an alternative of Lowari p but itrsquo;s operational for the limited time of the day only.
bull; On the other side of the mountain, we again find asphalt road and arrive in Chitral in the evening Night Pamir Inn or similar, Chitral Town
Day 02 Chitral ndash; Excursion Garam Chashma (100kms/4hrs)
bull; Chitral Town is dominated by the view of distant Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush range of mountains.
bull; River Chitral is flowing through the town and offers superb views for photography.
bull; After breakfast we will leave for Garam Chasma, a sub valley of Chitral, famous for its Sulphur Springs and Trout fish.
bull; After spending some time in the valley we head back to the hotel in Chitral for a night stay Night Pamir Inn or similar, Chitral Town
Day 03 Chitral ndash; Birir (Kalash Valley) (30 kms/2.5hrs)
? After spending some time in Chitral we will leave for Kalash Valley and check in to the hotel at Ayun Valley
? After some rest proceed to Birir Kalash Valley
? Today we will enjoy the Kalasha Phool Festival for the whole day Night Ayun Fort Inn or similar, Ayun Valley
Day 04 Bamburet ndash;Rambur
bull; Proceed to the main Kalash valley Bamburet
bull; Participants will get a free day to get relaxed and enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley
bull; We will also visit the Kalasha graveyard, it will be an interesting addition. Participants can meet and interact with community members, teachers, and local kids in their traditional dresses.
bull; Kalash is an exotic feature of the region, these tribes are contrasting to the rest of the country
bull; Their culture, religion, customs, and habitat is unique and interesting
bull; An optional trip to Rambur, another typical Kalash village Night Ayun Fort Inn or similar, Ayun Valley
Day 05 Ayun ndash; Islamabad (440kms/ 1011hrs)
? We will leave early morning from Ayun for a long drive back to Islamabad.
?Participants will be dropped at the designated spot in Islamabad.

bull; Cancellation not intimated at least 72hrs before departure are to be charged 75 of the quoted package

bull; 7 days and more, before departure 25 of the confirmed package
bull; The refund shall be processed within 07 working days of the written intimation to Rehman Travels
bull; Refund outside the country is subject to State Bank regulation and charges.

bull; In peak season, due to unforeseen cirstances, the accommodation/s amp; vehicle/s may differ from booked/mentioned below, however, equivalent arrangements be made.

bull; The driverrsquo;s decision shall be final in case of any situation on the roads. He is trained to drive in the hilly areas and shall not drive after sunset for safety reasons.
bull; It is advised, that one person is appointed as the Tour Leader amongst the PAX, so, any matter where there are differences in the decision, the Tour Leader amp; the driver shall mutually agree or the driver shall make the final decision.
